Often, I've heard pastors or the so-called ministers of God preaching or talking about "Salvation". They spoke it to be the only thing that can bring me closer to God or even remain in the presence of God, and that it can only be found in Jesus Christ, meaning if I am not a believer in Jesus Christ and God, I cannot have it.
Can't Salvation be received through other religions? Why must it be through Jesus Christ only? The other religions have the dos and don'ts as much as Christianity, so there must be a path to Salvation in them too.
I'm looking forward to answers and comments on this question because it is important to me.
Dear friend, yours is a question that many people ask about. And while I do not have great knowledge about the teachings of other religions. I can give you the Christian viewpoint for your inquiry.
Christianity can be defined in two words, Jesus Christ. He is the unique person in all of history because He claimed to be God and then used His entire ministry proving this to be true through miracles, healings and even raising people from the dead. No other founder of a world religion made such claims or performed such significant miraculous acts. But the more significant evidence of Jesus' deity were His prophecies, where He predicted things to come. And one of His prophecies, His death and resurrection is what I would like to focus on. He stated in (Matthew 16:21-23), (Mark 8:31), & (Luke 9:21-22) the manner of his death and that He would be raised from the dead three days later.
No other person has done such a thing. And it is His death and resurrection that salvation was made possible for everyone else, should they choose to believe in Him. So this was the most significant event in all of human history because of what it brought about. Many have questioned if this resurrection (being raised from the dead) was true, but it is recorded not only in Christian history but also by Jewish and Roman historians, as well. So it is a verifiable fact.
Why do I share all of those details from ancient history with you? Not to try to convince you of anything, but to establish the fact that when Jesus and those who walked with Him spoke, it was truth. There are many passages in the Bible where Jesus and others speak of salvation. But I have chosen three that speak most clearly in answer to your question. The first verse is Acts 16:31, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." The second is in Acts 4:12, which says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus) under heaven by which we must be saved." The third verse is spoken by Jesus Himself in John 14:6. He says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me."
So to explain all of the reasons Christians believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation would be impossible here. But I hope I have given you something to think about. I encourage you to seek further and see what the other religions say and believe. Don't take others' word for anything. Seek out the truth yourself. But once you have done that compare it to what Christianity has proclaimed and I am confident that God will reveal to you what truth is. Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation.

Hi Ron,
Thank you for taking the time to provide a succinct answer to this question. I have struggled to believe such a statement "that I can only receive salvation through Jesus Christ". But with your explanation, which I took some time to reflect on, I've started to have an open mind to the belief.
I will take some more time to learn more about Jesus Christ and hopefully come back to this question to ask follow-up questions. I hope this platform has a feature that provides a way to schedule 1-1 catchup meetings with people that are providing answers. It will be revolutionary if that happens.
Thank you very much.
