Let us ensure that the cell phone we hold in our hands remains a tool for good and does not take control over our hearts, minds, or priorities.

The Bible reveals that after Job prayed for his friends, God restored his fortunes, blessing him twice as much. Despite his trials, Job obeyed God without questioning and interceded for others, demonstrating faith and selflessness. This teaches us to trust God’s purposes, knowing He will provide for our needs when we prioritize His will (Matthew 6:33).

True freedom and contentment are found by depending exclusively on God. The argument here confronts the worthlessness of spending time worrying about things God has already taken care of. Since neither animals nor plants worry about food and clothing, neither should we. As God takes care of them daily, God will take care of us while we seek His kingdom. Knowing this allows us to enjoy life day by day.

Jesus continually emphasized the dangers of materialism. Materialism is not just a problem for the rich people Jesus encountered or for the characters in His stories. The tendency to desire more of everything is endemic to human nature. Notice that Jesus was concerned not so much with how much wealth we possess but with how much our wealth possesses us. True freedom and contentment cannot be found in the things we own. These gifts are freely given to us as we humbly turn to God for His gracious help.

Worship goes beyond attending church on Sundays. It is the essence of our breath and life. We honor and glorify God through all our daily actions. Approach everything as if doing it for God and maintain an ongoing conversation with Him.

May our hearts cry out to those who are lost, may our hands bring back those who are astray, and may our eyes look up to the God who loves us so that we can love them the way He does. It is never the church we want them to come to but God who we want them to meet.
